Lianping Heshui Pagoda

Lianping Heshui Pagoda is a cultural heritage site protected at the Guangdong Provincial level.

Lianping Heshui Pagoda is located on Taling Mountain in Zhepi Village, Zhongxin Town, Lianping County. Built during the Ming Dynasty, it is a hexagonal seven-story pavilion-style brick pagoda with a hexagonal spire roof that tapers to a gourd shape, standing approximately 22 meters tall. The base wall is 0.65 meters thick, the doorway is 1.8 meters high and 0.65 meters wide. Each level of the pagoda’s exterior features a waist eave and false balcony, with corner pillars crafted in a bamboo-joint style. Each level has one door and three false doors. Currently, except for the wooden floors inside the pagoda which have decayed, the rest remains largely intact. In 1985, it was designated as a cultural heritage site by the Lianping County People’s Government. On December 10, 2015, Lianping Heshui Pagoda was approved and announced by the People’s Government of Guangdong Province as part of the Eighth Batch of Guangdong Provincial Cultural Heritage Sites.
