The Big Lake and Triangle Battle Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument is a classic site on China's red tourism routes.

The Big Lake and Triangle Battle Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument is located at the Laojie Neighborhood Committee in Xiuduan Town, Lianping County.

This revolutionary martyrs' monument was built to honor those who lost their lives gallantly in the Big Lake and Triangle Battles between 1946 and 1949. Constructed in 1957, it faces north, covering an area of about 500 square meters, and is built with bricks, stones, and lime. The monument is approximately 6 meters tall with a base width of 3.4 meters. It features a flat pagoda-style structure, with the front divided into four levels. The upper level features a statue of a soldier gripping a steel gun; the middle-upper section is inlaid with a stone slab inscribed with the 13 Chinese characters “Big Lake and Triangle Battle Revolutionary Martyrs’ Monument” as well as the names of 92 revolutionary martyrs including Ouyang Zhen. The middle-lower part is adorned with the eight large characters “Revolutionary Spirit, Everlasting Glory,” created in raised lime relief. The lower section also contains an inlaid stone slab inscribed with over 650 Chinese characters of an inscription. This text records historical facts such as: “The establishment of the armed forces of the people in the Guangdong–Jiangxi region; how the people of Big Lake and Triangle, unwilling to endure prolonged suffering under the iron heel of the enemy, groaning and being ravaged, rose up with fervor to enlist and launch armed struggle. At that time, due to the deeply entrenched reactionary forces, the struggle was extremely arduous. Over four or five years, our revolutionary martyrs, in their military lives, toiled day and night, braving wind, frost, rain, and snow, crossing towering mountains and great rivers, resting by day and marching by night, clad in rags, sleeping on mountaintops, and eating wild vegetables—doing everything for the sake of the motherland and its people, without sparing any sacrifice. They decisively defeated the bandit Xie Yuechen and completely annihilated the puppet militia led by Feng Lian, then continued to operate in the foothills of the Jiulian Mountains and along both banks of the Dong River, pinning down a significant portion of enemy forces and supporting the southward advance of the main army, leading to the liberation of the people of South China…” Small pavilions have been built at about 4 meters to the left and right sides of the monument, beneath which the remains of martyrs are interred.

In October 1986, it was designated as a key cultural relics protection unit by the Lianping County Government. Renovations were carried out in the first half of 2011.
