The site of the Communist Party activities at Zhongxin Middle School is located within the campus of Zhongxin Middle School in Zhongxin Town, Lianping County.

Zhongxin Middle School was founded in July 1940, originally known as the First Public Primary School of the Fourth District (Zhongxin District) of Lianping County. Later, upon the initiative of educators from Zhongxin and Dahua, and with the approval of the then Nationalist county government, it was expanded into a district-run middle school (abbreviated as Zhongzhong), with its campus located at Longxun An in Huangzhukeng, 2.5 kilometers northeast of Zhongxin market town.

During the first semester after the establishment of Zhongzhong, the Dongjiang Special Committee of the Chinese Communist Party dispatched Communist Party member Zhang Yumin to teach at the affiliated primary school of Zhongzhong, where he also established an underground communication line from Zhongxin to Laolong. In August 1941, the Houdong Special Committee of the CCP assigned Zhonghe Border Area Special Commissioner Zhong Yingshi to teach at Zhongzhong. At the same time, they also sent Communist Party member Luo Yongping (also known as Luo Zhushi), who had previously been active in Heping, to teach at the affiliated primary school of Zhongzhong to assist in carrying out activities. During that autumn’s enrollment, a considerable number of progressive-minded students from Dahua and Zhongxin entered Zhongzhong, significantly strengthening the underground party’s presence in the school. To facilitate revolutionary activities, in October 1941, the CCP Branch of Zhongzhong was established. Under the leadership of the higher-level party organization, the Zhongzhong Party Branch was active during both the War of Resistance against Japan and the Liberation War—for example, striking hard against members of the Three People's Principles Youth League during anti-Japanese propaganda activities; rescuing underground party members from prison in 1942; and printing propaganda materials in 1943 to counter the Kuomintang’s reactionary tide.

In May 2011, a monument was erected for its protection by the Lianping County Committee and County Government.
