The site of the former Work Committee of the Communist Party of China in Lianping County is located at the former site of HuiLong’an Temple in Xiawu Village, Huxi Township, Dahua Town, Lianping County.

In late February 1941, in order to strengthen Party organizational leadership and construction, and to adapt to the evolving needs of the revolutionary situation, the leaders of the Dahua Party organization, following instructions from the Dongjiang Special Committee, held a Party meeting on a low hill behind HuiLong’an Primary School and established the “Work Committee of the Communist Party of China in Lianping County” (abbreviated as the “Work Committee”). Zhang Ren’an was appointed as the Secretary of the County Work Committee, Zeng Fangru as the Organizational Committee Member, Li Xinmin as the Propaganda Committee Member, and Huang Huaming as the Youth Committee Member. The Work Committee studied and planned how to strengthen Party organizational development and expand the ranks of Party members. After its establishment, the Work Committee opened up a new phase in the development of Party organizations and the expansion of the revolutionary forces in Lianping County. It disseminated revolutionary ideas by taking over educational platforms, trained new forces, and expanded the Party's ranks; it also enhanced the quality of Party members by organizing training classes. At the same time, it set up underground transportation stations in HuiLong’an and Wuguo Village; established two district Party committees in Zhongxin and Dahua; and selected a number of Party members to attend cadre training programs organized by the East River Column. The establishment of the Lianping County Work Committee marked a new period of development for the Party organization in Lianping. Later, due to the demands of the anti-Japanese war situation, the Lianping County Work Committee was dissolved in the winter of 1941 and replaced by a system of special commissioners.

In May 2011, a monument was erected for its protection by the Lianping County Committee and County Government.
