The site of the founding of the first Communist Party branch in Lianping County is located in Hudosng Village, Dahua Town, Lianping County. The site is situated within Hudong Primary School, which was established in 1920.

In March 1940, the CCP Peace County Committee assigned Communist Party member Zhou Baoshi to teach at Hudong Primary School in Dahua, where he secretly engaged in underground party activities. Around the same time, Communist Party member Zhang Qichu from Longchuan County, under the assignment of the Dongjiang Special Committee, went to the Dahua and Zhongxin areas to secretly recruit party members, establish party organizations, and lead underground activities. Zhang Qichu assigned Communist Party member Chen Xueyuan to teach at Hudong Primary School while conducting underground work covertly. Zhou Baoshi and Chen Xueyuan recruited local progressive youth Zeng Fangru to join the party organization. In June 1940, Zeng Fangru, Wu Hongsheng, and Huang Muping jointly established the first party cell of Lianping County at Hudong Primary School. Its establishment marked a new phase in the party-building efforts of Lianping County.

In September 1940, Rao Huangxiang, Secretary of the Youth Committee of the Dongjiang Special Committee of the CCP, visited Hudong Primary School upon instructions from the Special Committee Secretary to inspect and guide party work. After evaluation, Rao Huangxiang concluded that conditions were ripe for establishing a party branch at Hudong Primary School. He then convened a meeting with all party members, conveyed the directives of the Special Committee, and presided over the founding of the “Hudong Primary School Party Branch.” Zhang Ren’an was appointed as the branch secretary, and the branch was initially under the jurisdiction of the Longchuan County Central Committee of the CCP. This was the first party branch in Lianping County. Its establishment marked a new starting point for the revolutionary struggle in Lianping County.

Renovations were carried out in the first half of 2011, and the school now covers an area of approximately 6,000 square meters.

In July 2010, it was designated as a key cultural relics protection unit by the Lianping County Government. In May 2011, a memorial monument was erected for its protection by the Lianping County Party Committee and County Government. In June 2011, it was announced as a patriotic education base by the Heyuan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government.

Dahua was known as a "red revolutionary holy land" during the Anti-Japanese War, and the site of the first Communist Party branch in Lianping County is located within Hudong Primary School in Hudong Village. The Dahua Stockade in Hudong Village is the oldest existing, largest in scale, and best-preserved Hakka enclosed village complex in Lianping County, with a history of 880 years.
