The former site of Party organization activities at Hongyi Primary School is located at Xiatangzai House in Panshi Village, 1.5 kilometers north of Dahu Town, Lianping County. Originally a residential house, it was converted into a school in 1937, covering an area of approximately 2,000 square meters. The current Hongyi Primary School has been relocated, and the site remains a residential property.

From 1926 to 1928, progressive youths Zhang Jueqing and Zhu Mengjue from Heping County successively came to Hongyi Primary School in Panshi, where they organized evening literacy classes for local residents, sowing the seeds of revolution. In June and July 1940, Communist Party members Yan Huiling (female) and Huang Zhong came to teach at the school, after which a Party cell was established. Following the establishment of the Party branch at Houdong Primary School, non-local Party members Chen Jingwen (from Wuhua) and Li Xinmin (from Meixian) also joined Hongyi Primary School as teachers and secretly engaged in underground activities. Li Xinmin actively promoted anti-Japanese propaganda, mimeographed educational materials for Party members such as “Dedicate Your Life to Communism,” which were circulated within the Party, serving as an effective educational tool.

In February 1941, the second Party branch in Lianping County—the Dahu Dam Branch—was established at Hongyi Primary School, with Li Xinmin serving as the branch secretary. Shortly after the branch’s establishment, Chen Jingwen and Li Xinmin were transferred elsewhere, and Wei Hongtao took over as branch secretary. The branch primarily focused on united front work and Party organization development, playing a significant role in advancing the local revolutionary struggle.
