A beautiful and unique island in Wanlv Lake, its eastern part resembles a dragon while the western part resembles a phoenix. The entire island looks as if dragons are flying and phoenixes are dancing—an absolutely breathtaking sight—hence the name “Dragon and Phoenix Island.”

Complementing this are the century-old peculiar pines scattered across the island in the pattern of the Big Dipper, each uniquely shaped and rooted in various spots, forming their own system. It’s as if the pines are dragons, the maples are phoenixes, the dragons become pines and remain evergreen through the ages, the phoenixes become maples and are reborn life after life, bringing us the auspicious Dragon and Phoenix Island we see today.

With its brand-new gate, playful windmills, vibrant flowers, lush leaves, Dragon and Phoenix Island is full of spring vitality. The Crane Pine, Moon Water Pine, and all kinds of uniquely shaped pines, along with expanses of bayberry bushes and countless flowers and plants, offer female visitors a colorful spring experience. Since ancient times, the Chinese nation has believed in the saying “prosperity brought by the dragon and phoenix.” Therefore, Dragon and Phoenix Island, whose geographical shape resembles both a dragon and a phoenix, often brings good fortune. Legend has it that those who visit the island will enjoy sweet love, harmonious families, and successful careers—it is truly an auspicious island.

On Dragon and Phoenix Island, there is a Bronze Gong Cultural Area, considered an auspicious feng shui spot on the island. A giant Dragon and Phoenix Gong is surrounded by twelve smaller zodiac gongs. Visitors who make a wish here and strike the gong are said to have their wishes granted and dreams come true. Behind the gong stands the Hongyun Tower. From its height, you can overlook the lake with great fortune ahead, taking in the charming landscape in full view. In the Folk Village, beautiful Hakka girls showcase graceful dances filled with warmth and enthusiasm.
