Dongyuan Jigongshan Site
The Dongyuan Jigongshan Site is a cultural tourism attraction.
The Jigongshan Site is located behind Chuantang Middle School in Chuantang Town, Dongyuan County. At the foot of the mountain lies the confluence of the Liushi River and the Shijiao River. It dates back to the Zhou Dynasty. The site was discovered in 1984 and covers an area of 1,200 square meters. The unearthed pottery was fired at high temperatures, with vessel types including urns, jars, and cauldrons, featuring decorations such as cord marks, wavy lines, checkered patterns, kui-dragon motifs, and ripple designs. Stone tools such as axes, adzes, knives, and arrowheads were also found.
