The Huangcun Area Revolutionary History and Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall is a classic red tourism destination.

The Revolutionary History of the Huangcun Area (including the three towns of Huangcun, Yetan, and Kanghe) and the Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall (hereinafter referred to as the Memorial Hall) is located beneath the Huangcun Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery.

The Memorial Hall was planned in 2009 and completed in 2010. Its name was inscribed by Zheng Qun, former deputy commander of the Second Brigade of the Dongjiang Column, Vice Chairman of the Provincial CPPCC, and head of the — Department of the Provincial Party Committee. The hall covers a land area of 130 square meters, with a two-story building area of 260 square meters. It consists of upper and lower exhibition halls, displaying the revolutionary struggle history of the people in the Huangcun area under the leadership of the Communist Party of China from 1925 to 1949 over the course of more than 20 years through dozens of texts, pictures, photos, and artifacts. The content is divided into 8 sections: I. Preface; II. Introduction to the establishment and development of the Party organization; III. United front work; IV. History of armed struggle; V. Names of revolutionary martyrs and stories of some martyrs; VI. Narration of major historical events; VII. Construction of the people's government and the land reform movement; VIII. Introduction to the main leaders who led the revolutionary struggle in the Huangcun area. The hall also displays artifacts from the war years (such as marching bags, straw cloth shoes, handguns, broadswords, chalk, five-pointed caps, hoes, disguise bags, documents, book baskets, etc.) as well as a large number of party history materials and publications.

Huangcun Town: [Historical Evolution] Established in the late Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. Legend has it that at the time, a person surnamed Huang built a shop and set up a market here, hence the name Huangcun Market. During the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Lanxiangdu, Lanxi Pact. In the Republican era, it was known as Lanxi Township. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, it was renamed Huangcun. It is now Huangcun Town.

[Geographical Environment] Located in the northeast of Dongyuan County, at 115°25' east longitude and 23°51' north latitude. It is 116 kilometers from the city center and is the most remote town in the northeast of Dongyuan County. It borders Changbu in Wuhua County to the east, Zhongba in Zijin County to the south, Yetan in the same county to the west, and Zishi in Longchuan County to the north.
