The Hexi Revolutionary History Exhibition Hall is a classic red tourism destination.

The Hexi (encompassing six towns: Chuantang, Shangwan, Sanhe, Zhangxi, Luohu, and Zengtian) Revolutionary History Exhibition Hall is located in the town center of Chuantang, on the left side within the Hexi Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery.

The exhibition hall was completed in the summer of 2010. It covers an area of 120 square meters, with a built-up area of 260 square meters. Zheng Qun, former commander of the Second Brigade of the Dongjiang Column, vice-chairman of the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and head of the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Party Committee, wrote the preface for the memorial hall. The exhibition hall is divided into three display rooms: the first room showcases the establishment, development, and armed struggle of the Communist Party organization in the Hexi region; the second room displays the agricultural movement, political power construction, and united front work in the Hexi region; the third room presents the heroic struggles of the revolutionary martyrs in the Hexi region. The three rooms feature a large amount of text, charts, photographs, physical objects, and historical party literature to illustrate the courageous fight of the people of Hexi from 1939 to 1949 under the leadership of the Party in resisting Japan and overthrowing the “Three Mountains.”

Chuantang Town: Chuantang Town is located in the northern mountainous area of Dongyuan County, at the junction of Longchuan, Heping, and Lianping counties. It is a remote, border, old, and impoverished mountainous region. The town governs 21 administrative villages and 3 neighborhood committees, with a total of 12,553 households and a population of 62,772. It covers a total area of 203.3 square kilometers, with 178,000 mu of forested mountain land, making it the largest town in Dongyuan County. The town has 41,803 mu of arable land, including 30,997 mu of paddy fields, and a labor force of 27,010 people, of which 13,145 are engaged in agriculture.
