The Site of the Huangzhu Jing Ambush Battle is located in Huangzhu Jing, Huangcun Town, Dongyuan County.

In the spring of 1949, certain units of the Nationalist Party’s 13th Security Regiment stationed in Huangcun, together with Zhang Qixun, the head of Lanxi Township, and Cheng Fangwei, leader of the Joint Defense Team, launched an offensive into the region in an attempt to reclaim large areas including Wanhe, Zhugang, Qishu, and Wudong villages. Based on reliable intelligence, Wang Biao, Zhang Huaji, and Zhang Huiming—leaders of the Fourth Regiment of the Second Detachment of the Guangdong–Jiangxi–Hunan Border Column of the People's Liberation Army—decided to set up an ambush at Huangzhu Jing to strike the invading enemy forces. On the morning of April 9, over 150 enemy troops led by local militiamen Wu Jinzhong and Zhang Qixun entered the ambush zone. After fierce fighting, two enemy soldiers were killed, two guns and a batch of ammunition were captured, dealing a blow to the enemy’s harassment of the liberated area.
