The Site of the Huangkeng Ambush Battle is located in Huangkeng, Kanghe Town, Dongyuan County.

On October 1, 1948, after the main forces on the east bank of the river had moved to the west bank, a battalion of over 400 soldiers from the Nationalist Party’s 13th Security Regiment entered Huangkeng via Qingshan’ao and advanced toward Tianxin to invade Kanghe. Zhu Futeng, captain of the Kanghe Local Defense Team, and Huang Ming (also known as Huang Peilin), the political instructor, following instructions from their superiors, led over 40 members of the Local Defense Team and Tianxin militia to ambush the invading enemies at Huangkeng. During the ambush, they killed seven enemies and injured dozens, achieving victory in the battle.
