The former site of activities of the Dongjiang Overseas Chinese Anti-Japanese Service Corps in Chuan Tang Lao Wei is located in Lao Wei Village, Chuan Tang Town, Dongyuan County.

In January 1939, the Dongjiang Overseas Chinese Anti-Japanese Service Corps (abbreviated as "Dong Tuan") was established in Danshui, Huiyang, with Ye Feng as the head and Liu Xuan as the deputy head. The fifth branch of the "Dong Tuan" (i.e., the Heyuan Branch), consisting of over 30 members, under the leadership of branch head Zhu Gongba and deputy head Zou Qingrong, arrived in Heyuan City in March 1939. They initially stayed at the Jiang Family Ancestral Hall in Shangcheng, and moved in the summer of that year to No. 1 Taiping Road, sharing office space with the "Guangdong Anti-Japanese Vanguard." In April, a five-member activity group—Ye Mao, Huang Fengzhen (female), Zhang Yumin, Zhuo Yang (Yu Mingguang), Li Kui (female), Zhang Jingye, and Liang Qiuyun (female)—was formed to go to Chuan Tang. They stayed at the Huawan Primary School in Lao Wei (originally an ancestral hall, allocated to farmers during land reform, later demolished and rebuilt as residential houses). Using Chuan Tang as their base, the members of the "Dong Tuan" carried out anti-Japanese salvation activities in Chuan Tang, Sanhe, Shangwan, and other market towns and rural areas. They performed plays, distributed leaflets, wrote slogans, sang (and taught) anti-Japanese songs, ran night schools, and organized groups such as Brotherhood Associations, Sisterhood Associations, Elderly Associations, Youth Associations, and Children’s Groups to promote the anti-Japanese salvation movement and the Chinese Communist Party’s stance on resisting Japan and saving the nation. During these activities, party members were recruited, with Ouyang Tan, Ouyang Jingnan, Ouyang Qichang, Ouyang Yueying (female), Ouyang Ru (female), and others successively joining the Chinese Communist Party and forming party cells. In October 1939, the Chuan Tang Party Branch was established, with Ye Mao as the secretary, Huang Fengzhen as the organizational committee member, and Yu Mingguang as the publicity committee member. Subsequently, over 100 Chinese Communist Party members were developed in Chuan Tang, Sanhe, Shangwan, and other areas.
