The August 1st Uprising Army Sanheba Battle Memorial Park is located on the summit of Bizhuiwei Mountain in Huidong Village, Sanhe Town, Dabu County, Guangdong Province. Covering an area of 180,000 square meters, the memorial park features the August 1st Uprising Army Sanheba Battle Martyrs' Monument, the Sanheba Battle Memorial Hall, a sculpture of Zhu De, and a relief wall.

The exhibition halls of the memorial hall include three sections: "The Uprising in Nanchang City," "The Bloody Battle of Sanheba," and "The Meeting at Jinggangshan," as well as a sand table of the Sanheba Battle.

The August 1st Uprising Army Sanheba Battle Martyrs' Monument was built in 1963. It is square-shaped, standing 15 meters tall and 4 meters wide, constructed from 356 pieces of fine-grained granite in 35 specifications. The monument covers an area of 716 square meters. The front of the monument bears the inscription "Monument to the Martyrs of the August 1st Uprising Army Sanheba Battle," written in regular script with gold-plated characters by Comrade Zhu De himself. The pedestal of the monument is inscribed with the text written by Zhou Shidi, commander of the 25th Division of the Uprising Army.

The pedestal stands in the middle of the platform. The upper platform is 8.4 meters long and 12.4 meters wide, while the lower platform is 35 meters long and 25 meters wide. The joints are finely crafted, and the entire platform is paved with granite slabs. Stone railings line the outer edge of the platform, making the structure majestic and magnificent.

Standing in front of the monument, one can overlook the confluence of the Ting River, Mei River, and Meitan River into the Han River. Bizhui Mountain, where the monument is situated, overlooks the river from a high vantage point with a strategically important and easily defensible terrain. The mountain covers a total area of 180,000 square meters. Controlling Bizhui Mountain meant controlling the traffic on the Han River. Traveling north along the Ting River leads to Changting and Shanghang in Fujian; going upstream along the Mei River reaches southern Jiangxi; heading east along the Meitan River leads to Jiufeng and other areas in southern Fujian; and sailing downstream along the Han River connects to Chaozhou and Shantou. It was historically referred to as "connecting the two regions of Guangdong to the west and reaching both provinces to the north."

The Sanheba Battle Memorial Park has developed into an important site for cadres, masses, and students in the surrounding Fujian-Guangdong-Jiangxi regions to commemorate revolutionary martyrs and inherit the revolutionary spirit. Major events held here include the "Passing the Torch, Creating Brilliance Anew" Red Tourism Torch Relay · Dabu Station event, the large-scale military-civilian hiking activity "Retracing the Central Red Transport Line," the commemorative march for the 130th anniversary of Zhu De's birth and the Sanheba Red March, and the thematic practical teaching activity "Experiencing Red Culture, Inheriting the Spirit of the Soviet Area." Its fame has spread far and wide, attracting batches of visitors from afar.

On August 1, 1927, after the victorious occupation of Nanchang City by the Nanchang Uprising Army, they marched towards Shanghang, Yongding, and Changting in western Fujian, as well as Dabu in Guangdong, preparing to take over Chaozhou, Shantou, and Guangzhou. Under the leadership of the CCP Front Committee, with Zhou Enlai as the general secretary, they entered Dabu County (Chayang). On September 20, they split into two routes: one led by comrades Zhou Enlai, He Long, Ye Ting, and Liu Bocheng, with over 30,000 troops, proceeding downstream along the Ting River and Han River straight toward Chaozhou and Shantou; the other, led by Zhu De, deputy commander of the Ninth Army, with about 3,000 troops from the 25th Division of the 11th Army and the Direct Training Regiment of the 9th Army, held the Sanheba position to prevent the enemy from flanking the main force advancing toward Chaozhou and Shantou from western Fujian and Meixian.

After the uprising army led by Zhu De arrived at Sanheba, they immediately posted "Notices to Pacify the People," organized the masses, and set up a tight defense to prepare for the incoming enemy. Approximately 20,000 troops from three divisions of the Nationalist Party’s Qian Dajun forces launched a fierce attack on Sanheba by boat down the Mei River from Songkou in present-day Meizhou District, Meizhou City. Under the command of Deputy Commander Zhu De, 25th Division Commander Zhou Shidi, Party Representative Li Shuxun, and with the support of a part of the Dongjiang Workers’ and Peasants’ Army, the uprising army fought fiercely with the enemy for three days and nights, repelling countless enemy attacks and eliminating thousands of enemies. By then, Huang Shaohong’s forces, which had reinforced Qian Dajun, had crossed the Han River from the east and occupied the southern high ground of the uprising army’s position, while the northern area was also taken by Qian Dajun’s forces. Under the dire circumstances of being outnumbered, with limited ammunition and no reinforcements, to preserve their strength, the command decided to adopt a strategy of "gradual cover and step-by-step retreat." They withdrew via He Yao and Baihou, passed through Shuangxi, and entered Raoping on the 5th. Later, the uprising army endured hardships, fought in the Ting-Jiang border region twice, and finally...<4月28日到达江西井冈山与毛泽东同志领导的秋收起义队伍胜利会师。
