Dabu Fushan Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Dabu Fushan Temple Scenic Area is situated within Wuhu Mountain Park in Dabu County, offering a peaceful setting shaded by dense woods. At the heart of the park lies Fushan Temple, which comprises a mix of historic and contemporary buildings such as the Mahavira Hall, Ancestral Master Hall, and Wenchu Pavilion. The Mahavira Hall is the principal hall, with bell and drum towers on either side. The drum in the drum tower has a diameter of 1.62 meters, making it the largest in any temple in Meizhou City. Approved for construction by the Dabu County Government and relevant departments in 1994, the temple spans over 6,660 square meters. The plan includes the construction of twelve facilities, such as the Heavenly King Hall, Guanyin Hall, the Eighteen Arhats Hall, and the Mountain Gate. The Ancestral Master Hall, which has already been completed and inaugurated, was funded with over 400,000 RMB donated by Mr. Wu Changlun, a Singaporean overseas Chinese from Chaozhou and the Permanent Honorary President of the Dabu Buddhist Association. The Guanyin Hall was built with more than 400,000 RMB donated by Mr. Yao Chuangzhou, Project Manager of Shantou Chaoyang Construction Engineering Corporation. In recent years, funds have also been raised to build the Amitabha Hall, Medicine Buddha Hall, and the Sea Meeting Pagoda.

Shi Weideng, Vice President of the Dabu Buddhist Association and Abbot of the temple, said: “With the enthusiastic support of people from all walks of life at home and abroad, the construction of Fushan Temple has been improving steadily, making it an excellent destination for Buddhist devotees to worship and meditate, as well as for visitors to explore.” “Fushan Temple welcomes guests from all sectors of society.” Venerable Shi Weideng offered his blessings here, expressing gratitude to the patrons who have supported Dabu Fushan Temple over the years. He wished them blessings for their virtuous deeds, the promotion of Buddhism, and the reaping of abundant merits and enduring good fortune.

The Wenchu Pavilion is located in Chuanglongwo on Wuhu Mountain in Dabu County.

Built in the 42nd year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty (1777) and renovated in the 14th year of the Republic of China (1925), the pavilion stands three stories tall at 15 meters high, and measures 12.8 meters in length and 12.75 meters in width, forming a perfect square. Constructed with brick and wood, the pavilion features exquisitely carved beams and painted rafters, with a double-eave hip-and-gable roof adorned with porcelain inlays depicting two dragons playing with a pearl.

The Wenchu Pavilion uniquely enshrines three deities in one structure: the God of War (Guangong) on the ground floor, the God of Literature (Wenzhang) on the second floor, and the Star of Literature (Kuixing) on the third floor—a feature that is unparalleled across the province.
