Riverside Retreat Leisure Resort is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The "Riverside Retreat" leisure resort in Xikou, Qingxi Town, is located by the Ting River, nestled against mountains and beside water, boasting beautiful scenery and picturesque views. It is an investment attraction project for building a model beautiful countryside in Qingxi Town, with a planned total investment of 200 million yuan. Since opening to the public in October 2013, the resort has been favored by tourists.

The resort now features product processing areas, dining and reception facilities, sightseeing and leisure zones, a shopping mall showcasing specialty products from Dapu, a collection of exotic stones and crafts from Meizhou, conference and business accommodation services, riverside greenways, leisure landscapes, a visitor center, a hiking park, a natural swimming pool, a villa complex in the forest, indoor badminton and tennis courts, and a water park. It was approved as a AAA-level tourist attraction in December 2014.

Qingxi Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Dabu County. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was known as Hutousha, Qingxi She, and Pingsha She. In the 41st year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1562), a patrol inspection office was established at Hutousha within the territory. In 1949, it was part of Pubei District; in 1957, Qingxi Township was formed; in 1958, it was merged into Pucheng Commune; in 1961, Pubei Commune was established; in the same year, it was renamed Qingxi Commune; in 1983, it became a district; in 1986, it reverted to a township; and in 1993, it was upgraded to a town. Located in the northwest of the county, it borders Yongding County of Fujian Province to the north and is 22 kilometers from the county seat.
