Beitang Ancient Village is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Beitang Village has a history of over 1,300 years, dating back to the late Song and early Yuan dynasties. In 2014, it was included in the list of “China’s Traditional Villages.” Traces of its thousand-year history can be found everywhere in the village: the Shouhu Hall, which is over 700 years old, the Shaozhi Hall over 400 years old, the Zhishi Hall over 360 years old, the Qianshou Hall over 200 years old, the Fude Hall built in the late Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, as well as ancient trees aged around 700 years, centuries-old wells, ancient temples, and more. According to statistics, there are currently over 20 well-preserved ancient residences from the Yuan, Ming, Qing, and Republican periods in Beitang Village, with a total architectural area of over 30,000 square meters.

Beitang Village: Located in the northwest of Xihé, Meizhou City, Dabu County, Beitang Village administers 28 villager groups, with 683 registered households and a population of 2,596. The village covers a total area of 10.83 square kilometers, including 898 acres of arable land. The average annual temperature is 26°C, and the annual rainfall is approximately 1,560 mm, characterized by a warm climate and moderate precipitation. Major cash crops include honey pomelo, watermelon, sweet corn, and vegetables. The village’s distinctive economic income comes from honey pomelo, watermelon, sweet corn, and vegetables.
