Xiling Calligraphy Park is a cultural heritage site protected at the municipal level in Meizhou.

Xiling Calligraphy Park is located in the northwest of Dabu County, situated along the riverine section of the North Ring Road. It borders Xiaye Xishan Ridge Extension to the east, Hetou Village’s North Ring Road to the south, Zhai Shang and Shuang Tang to the west, and Miaofu Temple Niuhuangxia to the north, covering a planned area of approximately 2,475 mu. The park is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with the North Ring Road and Meitan River flowing around it, nestled among verdant hills and embracing clear waters.

The Calligraphy Park is divided into four scenic areas: the Calligraphy Zone, Hiking & Fitness Zone, Agricultural Sightseeing Zone, and Prayer Zone. The planning and design embody four main principles: First, highlighting ecological culture. Emphasis is placed on creating a natural environment that integrates historical culture and Hakka traditions, blending regional culture and natural landscapes into the park's features to showcase the area’s ecology and culture, as well as the charm of the Hakka people. At the South Gate entrance in the Calligraphy Zone, 100 calligraphy works by contemporary masters (vice-chairmen of provincial calligraphy associations or higher) will be displayed, while 80 classic Chinese calligraphy works from various dynasties will be exhibited at the East Gate entrance. Additionally, a stele corridor featuring 100 Tang poems and 100 Song lyrics will be installed along the path from the East Gate to the South Gate. Second, putting people first. The design ensures ample mountain and water spaces for leisure and exercise. Third, following ecological, natural, and health-oriented principles. The natural mountain terrain serves as the spatial foundation for constructing a diversified landscape and main activity areas. Fourth, adhering to practicality and adapting to local conditions. The overall plan is implemented in phases: initial construction includes hiking trails, entrances, and scenic pavilions, followed by supporting leisure and entertainment facilities. The first phase of the park covers an area of about 1,000 mu, with a total investment of over 10 million yuan. Construction began in May this year and was completed and opened to the public before National Day. Relying on its natural landscape and characterized by openness, leisure, wellness, and comfort, the Calligraphy Park — integrating historical culture, Hakka folk customs, fitness and leisure, and mountain hiking — has become another beautiful attraction in the county.

Taxia Village: Taxia Village is a standalone natural village. With the exception of three households surnamed Yang, all other residents are surnamed Lin. The founding ancestor of the Lin clan, Lady Huang, migrated here from Zhangzhou Prefecture in Fujian Province during the late Song Dynasty (1270 AD), giving birth to the first-generation ancestor, Xianyin Gong, in the same year. Upon their arrival, there was an ancient tower on Sangpu Mountain to the south of the village. Since the mountain was called Tower Mountain, the village was named Taxia (literally “Below the Tower”), a name that has been used ever since.

Taxia Village is located 1.5 kilometers southwest of Jinshi Town. To the northeast, it neighbors Xiandu Third Village, to the northwest it borders Xilin Village of Shaxi Town, and to the southwest it leans against Sangpu Mountain.
