Dabu Guangde Kiln

Dabu Guangde Kiln is located in Guangde Town, Dabu County. It dates back to the Jiaqing and Daoguang eras of the Qing Dynasty. Excavated in 1987, one kiln was uncovered at Xiayao in Jiushe, identified as a step-style dragon kiln. The remaining structure measures 8.72 meters in length and 4.28 meters in width. The interior is divided into three chambers, each separated by brick walls, with fire holes beneath, and the rear wall of the final chamber features 14 flue outlets. Another kiln was excavated at Keshuke in Fulian, built with clay bricks, measuring 2.5 meters in length and 3.74 meters in width. The front section includes a horizontal rectangular firing trench, with each of the front and rear walls equipped with a row of nine ventilation or flue openings. The porcelain products fired at both sites are largely similar, mainly including bowls, plates, and tobacco pipes, adorned with blue-and-white decorations featuring landscapes and floral patterns.
