The Residence of the Second-Class Imperial Advisor in Hounan Village is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Guangdong Province.

The Residence of the Second-Class Imperial Advisor is located in Hounan Village, Baibu Town, Dabu County, and was built during the Qing Dynasty by Yang Yunmei. It faces southwest and is built on a northeast-southwest axis, featuring a two-courtyard layout with two wing rooms and a palatial architectural arrangement. The residence has a total width of 37.9 meters and a depth of 38.7 meters, covering an area of approximately 1,500 square meters. The frontage is three bays wide, with a brick-and-wood structure, flush gable roof, and gray tiles. The main facade’s gate tower is inscribed with five bold characters reading “中议大夫第” (Residence of the Second-Class Imperial Advisor). The central hall of the upper story displays a plaque inscribed with “怀德堂” (Huai De Hall). The front eave corridor of the hall features a four-beam coffered ceiling with carved beam supports, utilizing a post-and-lintel construction method. The wooden components — including column capitals, brackets, painted decorations, and screens — are brightly colored, exquisitely carved, and luxurious in design, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship. The entire building is elegantly designed with a rational layout, offering significant artistic value for the study of traditional Hakka residential architecture in Dabu.

In December 2015, it was designated as part of the eighth batch of cultural heritage sites by the People's Government of Guangdong Province.

The annual average temperature is 21°C, and annual precipitation is about 1,552.3 mm, characterized by a subtropical monsoon climate. Major cash crops include rice and flue-cured tobacco, with flue-cured tobacco being the village’s specialty.
