Wanfeng Building

Wanfeng Building is a representative example of Chinese-Western fusion architecture among Hakka residences.

Wanfeng Building is located in Gucheng Village and was built in 1936. The main structure consists of a two-courtyard complex with a brick-and-wood frame, featuring intricately carved beams and painted rafters that hold notable artistic and craft value. The surrounding area is constructed with a hybrid of reinforced concrete and brick-and-wood on two floors. Covering an area of 3,003 square meters and with a floor space of 2,517 square meters, the entire building is grand in scale and well laid out. It inherits the architectural style of traditional Hakka residences while also incorporating elements of Western building design.
