Hou Beisheng and Cao Xiaozhu is a Meizhou Municipal Cultural Heritage Protection Unit.

Hou Beisheng and Cao Xiaozhu is located in Houbei Village, Baihou Town, Dabu County. Dating back to the Republican era, it is considered an important modern historical site and representative architecture.

On February 5, 2015, the Meizhou Municipal People's Government designated Hou Beisheng and Cao Xiaozhu as part of the third batch of Meizhou Municipal Cultural Heritage Protection Units.

Houbei Village: Houbei Village in Dabu County, Meizhou City, is situated in the northern part of Baihou Town. The village comprises 25 villager groups, with 956 registered households and a population of 3,596. It covers a total area of 5.3 square kilometers, including 1,618 mu of arable land. The average annual temperature is 21°C, with an annual rainfall of approximately 1,552 mm, and features a subtropical monsoon climate. Major cash crops include rice, flue-cured tobacco, and vegetables. The village’s distinctive economic income comes from flue-cured tobacco and vegetables. In the previous year, the total rural economic income of the village was 38.53 million yuan.
