Yuli Ancient Kiln Site

The Yuli Ancient Kiln Site is a Meizhou Municipal Cultural Heritage Protection Unit.

The Yuli Ancient Kiln Site is located in Yuli Village, Sanhe Town, Dabu County. It dates back to the Yuan Dynasty and is classified as an ancient heritage site.

On February 5, 2015, the Meizhou Municipal People's Government designated the Yuli Ancient Kiln Site as part of the third batch of Meizhou Municipal Cultural Heritage Protection Units.

Sanhe Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Dabu County. Its name originates from its location at the confluence of the Ting River, Mei River, and Meitan River into the Han River. During the Ming Dynasty, the Sanhe Fort was built here, and in both the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was referred to as Sanhe She. In 1949, it became known as Sanhe District, and in 1958, the Sanhe Commune was established. In 1978, the Zili Commune was split off, and in 1983, it was re-designated as a district with the reincorporation of the Zili Commune. In 1986, it was officially established as a town. Located in the central-western part of the county, it is 14 kilometers from the county seat. Covering an area of 150.2 square kilometers, it has a population of 20,000. Historically, it served as a vital transportation hub between Guangdong and Fujian. Today, provincial highways pass through the town, and the Mei River, Ting River, and Han River are navigable.
