Fengtai Sports Center Softball Field
The Fengtai Softball Field is located in the Fengtai Sports Center in Beijing, approximately 5 kilometers from Beijing West Railway Station. It borders the West Fourth Ring Road to the east, Fengbei Road (an urban expressway) to the south, and the Beijing–Shijiazhuang Expressway to the north. It served as the softball competition venue for the 2008 Olympics. The project has a total construction area of 15,570 square meters, primarily consisting of two competition fields, two warm-up fields, an auxiliary building for functional facilities, and some temporary public facilities for the event. The redesign and expansion plan for the Fengtai Softball Field features clear functional zoning, smooth traffic flow, rational evacuation routes, beautiful green surroundings, and comfortable competition conditions. Once completed, the Fengtai Softball Field will become a distinctive venue in Beijing and even across China, boasting international-standard facilities. It hosted the 2006 Asian Women's Softball Championship.
