South Africa has become a top travel destination largely due to its diverse and strikingly beautiful wildlife. Therefore, visiting a large wildlife park to see the lions, elephants, giraffes, and antelopes that live there is an experience not to be missed by travelers. But if you don’t have the chance to visit a major wildlife park, consider stopping by a smaller zoo near the city center. Lion Park in Honeydew and the nearby Krugersdorp Game Reserve both have many lions and antelopes, and are less than a half-hour drive from Johannesburg.
