Covering an area of 220 square kilometers, Kornati National Park consists of 147 large and small islands and reefs, with land accounting for only one-quarter of the entire park—most of the area consists of marine ecosystems. The park dominates the coastal region and also features the most jagged archipelago in the Mediterranean. Kornati has become a true labyrinth of sea and rock, best known for its towering cliffs and the most distinctive reliefs.
