Croatia, home to many stunning hidden gems, has become a top choice for Taiwanese travelers visiting Eastern Europe in recent years. Emirates has officially announced that starting June 1 this year, Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, will be included in Emirates’ extensive global network spanning six continents, with daily flights operated by a three-class Boeing 777-300 aircraft between Dubai and Zagreb. The promotional fare for the Taipei–Zagreb inaugural flight starts from NT$15,333 excluding taxes, available for a limited time from January 19 to January 23.

The Dubai–Zagreb route launched by Emirates in June 2017 will offer travelers a brand-new exploration experience. Northwestern Croatia is covered with mountains and national parks. Sljeme, just a 20-minute drive from Zagreb, boasts enchanting scenery along the way, and its ski resort offers a skiing experience comparable to the Alps.

Zagreb is convenient not only for leisure and business travelers flying from Dubai to Croatia, but also for connections to nearby southern destinations in Slovenia, Hungary, and Austria. On the other hand, travelers departing from Croatia can take modern wide-body aircraft with three classes, connect through Emirates’ hub in Dubai, and then transfer to cities such as Shanghai, Beijing, Bangkok, Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Maldives, Seychelles, and Sri Lanka—this will also be possible starting June this year.
The scheduled flight time for Emirates flight EK129 is 08:15 local time from Dubai, arriving in Zagreb at 12:20 local time. The return flight EK130 departs Zagreb at 15:35 and arrives in Dubai at 23:05 local time.
The Dubai–Zagreb route operated by Emirates uses a three-class Boeing 777-300 aircraft, featuring 12 fully flatbed first-class private suites, 42 fully flat business-class seats, and 310 spacious economy-class seats. Passengers in all classes can enjoy up to 2,600 channels of audio and video entertainment on the award-winning in-flight entertainment system, ice. The Emirates cabin crew team, comprising staff from 130 countries including 234 Croatian crew members, provides all passengers with top-tier Emirates service.
