Kopački Rit Nature Park is located in the Osijek-Baranja County of eastern Croatia, near the border with Serbia. It consists of numerous backwaters and ponds, making it one of Europe's most important, largest, and most attractive wetland reserves, and a popular destination for travelers from around the world.

Kopački Rit Nature Park has been designated as a special animal reserve, providing a habitat for around 260 species of birds. In addition, large numbers of migratory birds spend the winter here, making it one of Europe’s most renowned birdwatching destinations. Visitors can observe wild geese, ducks, great egrets, white storks, black storks, white-tailed eagles, kingfishers, and Eurasian green woodpeckers, among others, as they sing their melodious songs. Besides the diverse birdlife, the park is also home to over 40 species of unique fish, including pike, perch, tench, carp, pikeperch, and catfish.

A wide variety of mammals can also be spotted in the park, such as red deer, roe deer, wild boar, pine martens, stone martens, weasels, and sables, all living and playing comfortably alongside their companions.
