Učka Nature Park is located in Croatia’s Istria County, embracing Mount Učka. Known for its proximity to the sea, it enjoys a mild climate, dense forests, and is the ideal place to soak up some warm sunshine.

The park encompasses large green pastures that provide an excellent habitat for endangered and threatened flora and fauna. Ancient castles and villages are among the park’s most valuable historical assets, bearing witness to a long history and quietly telling the stories of the past to visitors. Karst sinkholes are another distinctive feature of the park—there are over 40 scattered throughout, which were used by local residents in the 20th century mainly for livestock and agricultural water supply. Today, these sinkholes are no longer used for irrigation but continue to nurture the plants living in them.
