Tito Square is located in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, and is one of the largest and most well-known squares in the city. It’s a great place to delve into Zagreb’s history and one of the best spots to experience the city’s culture and lifestyle.

As one of Zagreb’s most prominent squares, Tito Square has undergone several name changes over different periods due to varying political circumstances. Its current name honors Josip Broz Tito, who led the Croatian people in resisting fascist invasion—then a partisan commander during World War II and later the President of Yugoslavia. Tito Square is renowned as one of the most beautiful squares in Zagreb. Established in 1856, it isn’t very large, with Zagreb’s famous National Theatre on its eastern side and a museum on its western side.

The square also features several notable sculptures, the most famous being the Well of Life and the monument commemorating Đuro Deželić, a renowned Croatian writer and politician.
