The Zagreb National Theatre functions as a drama theatre, an opera house, and a ballet theatre. Managed by the Croatian Ministry of Culture, it was first built in 1860 as the Croatian National Theatre and served as the city’s first municipal opera house.

In 1895, the Zagreb National Theatre moved to its current location on Marshal Tito Square. The theatre is not very large and is predominantly yellow in color, with a seating capacity of 785. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Zagreb, hosting various forms of artistic performances every year, including opera, drama, and ballet.
