Osijek Archaeological Museum

The Osijek Archaeological Museum is located in the Croatian city of Osijek. Established in 2005 and officially opened to the public in 2007, it is a museum dedicated to collecting, preserving, and exhibiting archaeological finds from the Osijek-Baranja County.

The Osijek Archaeological Museum showcases the history of the Osijek-Baranja County from the Paleolithic Age to the late Middle Ages, displaying the area’s rich and diverse cultures and housing significant local archaeological discoveries. The museum’s permanent exhibition features artifacts from the 5th to the 16th century, such as pottery, stone tools, and iron objects. At the center of the museum courtyard are displayed Roman stone artifacts and a Celtic helmet, which was found near the Sava River close to Slavonski Brod.
