The Museum of Croatian Archaeological Monuments is located in Split, within the Split-Dalmatia County. Established in 1893, it underwent several relocations before finally opening in Split in 1976. It is the only museum in Croatia dedicated to researching and presenting the history and culture of medieval Croatians.

As one of the oldest museums in Croatia, the Museum of Croatian Archaeological Monuments aims to showcase the history and culture of the Croatians from the 7th to the 15th century, particularly from the 9th to the 12th century. It collects relevant artifacts to preserve their outstanding cultural heritage and to help future generations better understand history. The museum houses over 20,000 items related to the Croatians, 25% of which are part of the permanent exhibition. These include jewelry, weapons, stone objects, everyday items, wickerwork, clay figurines, and more.

Among the most notable collections in the Museum of Croatian Archaeological Monuments are ancient monuments inscribed with Latin inscriptions, representing the largest such collection in Europe.
