Bory Tucholskie National Park

Bory Tucholskie National Park is a national park established in Poland on July 1, 1996, covering an area of 46.13 square kilometers of forests, lakes, meadows, and peatlands. It is located in Chojnice County, Pomeranian Voivodeship in northern Poland, in the heart of the Tuchola Forest (Tuchola Forest), surrounded by vast protected areas.

The park mainly consists of forests and lakes. What makes the Tuchola Forest unique is the crystal-clear lakes that encircle it. The largest of these, Jezioro Charzykowskie, lies on the western border of the park, stretching nearly 18 kilometers in length and about 2 kilometers wide. Key attractions in the national park include the Seven Lakes of Struga, connected by a small river. This isn't just any river — it spans over 13 kilometers in total, but excluding the lengths of the lakes, the actual river section is less than 2 kilometers long. The area is home to many rare bird species, such as the white-tailed eagle, hen harrier, penduline tit, and cormorant.

Within the park, there are four designated tourist trails and three educational nature trails. A special botanical walking route has also been added in the area around the Charzykowy office. At the southern end of Lake Charzykowskie, in the Charzykowy region, there is a large sailing center. In 2007, a modern marina was built here, where visitors can rent a variety of water sports equipment.
