Adults €5, students under 27 €3.5, children aged 6 to 14 €1.5; free on October 26 (National Day) and December 24. Combined ticket with the Court Church (Hofkirche) is €6.5.

Opening hours:

Monday to Saturday 9:00–17:00, Sunday and public holidays 10:00; opens until 17:30 in July and August. Closed on Tuesday afternoons, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and Whitsun.

Attraction introduction

The Tiroler Volkskunstmuseum (Tyrolean Folk Art Museum), built between 1553 and 1563, was originally a monastery, converted into a school in 1785, and became a state museum after 1829. The main building features Renaissance architecture, with the arcade courtyard being a typical example. As one of the most beautiful museums in Europe, it displays treasures rich in Alpine ethnic culture: living rooms, traditional costumes, masks, and nativity scenes. Numerous exhibits showcase the diverse folk culture of Tyrol.
