Located within the Prater amusement park in Vienna, the capital of Austria, Madame Tussauds Vienna officially opened to the public on April 1, 2011. With a total investment of 8 million euros and an exhibition area of over 2,000 square meters, it is the fourth Madame Tussauds in Europe after those in London, Berlin, and Amsterdam.

Madame Tussauds Vienna incorporates Austrian elements with local characteristics, as well as international features with global appeal. The museum is divided into eight major themed exhibition halls: Historical Figures, Musicians, Politicians, Visionaries, Film and TV Stars, and Sports Legends. There are nearly 30 wax figures representing Austrian culture and celebrities from various eras, including well-known figures such as Princess Sissi, Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, Freud, Fischer, and Schwarzenegger. In addition, the wax museum has a dedicated “Wax Workshop” where visitors can learn about the art of making wax figures and even participate in the experience.

Madame Tussauds Vienna also offers many interactive exhibits, allowing visitors to play the piano with Schubert, attend a gathering of Princess Sissi’s friends, or even have a conversation with current Austrian President Fischer.
