Castle Hill Amusement Park is located on a rocky hill not far from the center of Helsinki, covering an area of 75,000 square meters. It opened to the public on May 27, 1950, as a non-profit amusement park whose revenues are entirely donated to children's welfare organizations.

Castle Hill Amusement Park is open to the public from April to October each year. For fifty years since its opening, it has been a traditional summer favorite among Finnish children. The thrilling rides offer intense excitement that deeply attracts visitors, especially families. Over the years, even though at least one new type of ride has been introduced each year, roller coasters have always remained the most popular attraction; the park features 43 roller coasters of various sizes and designs. Several exciting magic and acrobatic shows are performed daily in the open-air theater. In addition to the thrilling rides and performances, the park also offers restaurants, shops, and a newly built aquarium, ensuring fun for both adults and children.

On the occasion of its 50th anniversary in 2006, Castle Hill Amusement Park welcomed over a million visitors, and in 2007 the number reached as high as 1.2 million, making it the most popular tourist attraction in Finland.
