International roaming rates adjusted 9 times in 3 years, delivering real benefits to users
According to reports, since 2010, China Mobile has adjusted outbound roaming rates eight times. Among these, on August 1, 2010, it reduced roaming rates for 10 countries or regions including Singapore and Denmark, with an average decrease of 64.8% and a maximum drop of 83.5%. On August 1, 2011, it cut roaming rates for 38 countries or regions such as Australia and Canada, with an average reduction of 38.6%. On November 1, 2011, it introduced daily roaming data packages for 8 countries or regions including Hong Kong and South Korea, where users could enjoy unlimited data usage for up to 98 yuan per day. On November 1, 2012, it lowered international roaming rates for 5 countries or regions including the United States and Indonesia, with the maximum reduction reaching 90.03%... This marks the ninth adjustment to international roaming rates within three years.
It is reported that in addition to simplifying rate zones, China Mobile has also adjusted international long-distance rates. Customers in mainland China (excluding Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) can dial long-distance calls to 8 countries or regions such as Hong Kong (China), the United States, and Singapore by adding 17951, with rates as low as 0.39 yuan per minute, allowing them to chat freely with family and friends.
In addition, starting February 1, China Mobile will also offer roaming data packages for 11 countries or regions including Hong Kong (China), South Korea, and Japan. Customers roaming in these 11 destinations such as South Korea and Hong Kong (China) can enjoy unlimited data usage for internet access at just 88 yuan per day, 198 yuan for 3 days, or 398 yuan for 7 days.
