Tycho Brahe Planetarium

In the southwestern corner of Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, there lies a three-dimensional astronomical "myth" — the Copenhagen Tycho Brahe Planetarium (IMAX Tycho Brahe Planetarium). Tycho Brahe (1546–1601) was a Danish astronomer who dedicated his life to the development of astronomical instruments and research. The observational data and materials he accumulated throughout his life greatly benefited the later renowned astronomer Kepler. For this reason, the planetarium is named after him.

The Tycho Brahe Planetarium is the newest attraction in this ancient city, having been completed on October 31, 1989. Built by the lake, it is surrounded by lush green lawns. Its exterior is a sleek, fortress-like cylinder with a sloping roof, and the outer walls are painted in a soft pink hue, making it a beautifully modern structure. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including advanced instruments such as a solar observatory, as well as service buildings that house a restaurant and an auditorium. The most impressive feature is the 1,000-square-meter 3D astronomy projection hall, which boasts the world's largest 3D movie screen. The full-dome projection displays over four thousand stars and major celestial bodies in the solar system, offering visitors an immersive experience in an astronomical fairy-tale wonderland.
