London and Copenhagen now have "luggage Airbnb" — leave your bags wherever you want!

The sharing economy is thriving, just like Airbnb — renting out one’s home for short stays has transformed the hotel industry. Now, this Airbnb-style sharing concept has been applied to luggage storage.A Danish startup has launched a luggage Airbnb service to solve travelers’ baggage storage woes, allowing them to leave their luggage at registered hosts’ homes nearby and head straight to nearby attractions without having to carry their bags — super convenient.

According to the Standard website, LuggageHero is a Danish startup where travelers can find nearby hosts to store their luggage for one euro per hour. Partner “hosts” include local shops, bars, retail stores, and other venues with storage space, making it easy for travelers to find convenient luggage storage spots.

Currently, LuggageHero’s service network is only available in London and Copenhagen. Travelers can visit their website or download the app, select the area where they want to store their luggage, and choose a nearby host before booking. For security reasons, no fees are charged until you retrieve your luggage, but storage is priced by the hour.
