A single flight with 615 passengers — Emirates launches the world’s highest-capacity route

Emirates announced that starting October 1, the Dubai–Zurich route will add one daily flight, operating two daily services using the A380 aircraft; the Dubai–Copenhagen route will also increase capacity from December 1, with flights operated by the A380. The two-class configured A380 makes the Dubai–Copenhagen route the world’s highest-capacity route.

Emirates stated that Zurich in Switzerland is known as the “heart of Europe” and is also a major hub for natural science research in the world, boasting over 50 museums, more than 100 galleries, and breathtaking scenery; Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark, home to tourist attractions such as the Little Mermaid statue, Christiansborg Palace, Amalienborg Palace, and Nyhavn. The Dubai–Copenhagen route will be the world’s first to operate with a two-class configured A380, capable of carrying 615 passengers per flight, making it the world’s highest-capacity route.
