Yushuzhuang Park
Yushuzhuang Park is located in the western part of Fengtai District, Beijing, between Kandan Road and Kandan South Road. It is a leisure park built by local farmers. The park has a total planned area of 768 mu and was designed by Professor Ji Huailu from the School of Architecture at Tsinghua University. With few visitors, it offers a very tranquil atmosphere.
This is a typical classical-style garden, where the park’s buildings feature a log cabin style that is simple and natural. The park is divided into four scenic areas: lakes, mountains, hills, and plains, featuring a total of 16 scenic spots including Misty Forest View, Evening Mist on the West Dyke, Fish Leaping under Willow Shade, Autumn Splendor of Mirror Lake, Exploring the Seclusion of Wuling, Cold Moon over Waterfall, Night Rain over Lotus Pond, Water Curtain Marvel, and Sunset Glow over Golden Hill. It is a large classical architecture park.
The park’s iconic structure is the Wenfeng Tower, located in the hilly scenic area. Wenfeng Tower is a five-story wooden tower with a square structure, standing about 48 meters tall. Here, visitors can not only admire the towering wooden tower and exquisitely crafted pavilions and towers but also explore an ancient stone carving exhibition area to appreciate the charm of stone carvings.
In addition, the park is planted with many cherry blossom trees, creating beautiful scenery when they bloom in spring. In winter, the snow-covered park appears pure and serene, set against the blue sky.
