Ferrol is a city in the province of A Coruña, autonomous community of Galicia, Spain, located on the Atlantic coast. Since the Bourbon dynasty, the city has been the headquarters of the Spanish Navy's Northern Command and an important naval shipbuilding center. It currently serves as the shipbuilding hub for the Spanish company Navantia.

Ferrol is the birthplace of several famous Spaniards, including Francisco Franco, the former head of state, generalissimo, and supreme leader of the Falange, as well as Pablo Iglesias, the founder of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party. It is a modern city that still retains the tranquility and ease of a traditional fishing village. With almost no historical architecture remaining, what you’ll find here are natural harbors and a laid-back way of life, making it a great destination to enjoy peaceful moments.
