The Xiaodian District Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall is located at No. 34 Renmin South Road, Xiaodian District, Taiyuan City. During the revolutionary war years, the former areas of Qingyuan, Taiyuan, and Xugou counties—collectively referred to as the Qing-Tai-Xu region—served as the frontline of the Shanxi-Suiyuan Border Region and a vital transportation route connecting the Taihang Base Area to surrounding regions. These areas undertook glorious and arduous missions in support of the revolutionary cause under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. The former Nanjiao District of Taiyuan City corresponds to an important part of the Qing-Tai-Xu region. Starting in September 1987, the Nanjiao District Party Committee and District Government established the "Nanjiao District Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall Preparatory Committee," commenced construction of the memorial hall, and completed it in August 1995. The Revolutionary Martyrs Monument is inscribed with the eight large characters "Revolutionary Martyrs Live Forever," and the monument base bears the names of 625 revolutionary martyrs from the former Nanhao area. Following the 1998 adjustment of Taiyuan's administrative divisions, the Nanjiao District Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall was renamed the Xiaodian District Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall and designated as a municipal-level patriotic education base.
