This humble Japanese eatery hides generous seafood bowls & free refills of miso soup!

I heard a cycling buddy opened a Japanese restaurant on Zhongzheng Road in Zhonghe, specializing in affordable seafood N<。好奇心驱使下，找了中午空档前去瞧瞧。位在熟悉的广福车业斜对面，店内空间不大，装潢稍嫌阳春。

The sashimi selection in the glass counter isn’t extensive, but I was glad to see the chef taking no shortcuts in preparation. The clean cuts and neat arrangement immediately raised my expectations.

Picked Lantern Sea View N<(NT.360)，附无限续的味噌汤。没想到上桌的竟是大碗公，与以前在欧洲念书时惯用的尺寸非常接近。

(What a huge bowl!)

It reminded me of the time I picked out tableware and ended up in a funny situation. Back then, I had a huge appetite and, being lazy, hated having to get up for seconds. So I went to a Chinese mall specifically to find a big ceramic bowl. After searching for ages, I finally spotted the perfect one: pure white, flawless, with beautiful smooth curves that were both practical and pretty—clearly designed for big eaters. But at checkout, the shop owner yelled, “A-Xiu, wrap up this flowerpot for this gentleman!” And just like that, this flowerpot posing as a giant bowl went on to accompany a young student through many life moments at the dinner table.

Today N<饭的分量真是相当大。这价位或许在鱼料上无法太过要求，却难得可贵没半分新鲜度被牺牲掉。少了显赫名店资历的老板刀工比预期来得细腻，光那尽可能将腥味减到最少的牡丹虾就让人够开心了。可惜这里却没提供醋饭啊，师傅说醋饭要等明年夏天，现阶段他一个人实在是忙不过来。

I silently thought to myself, “Oh, boss, do you need any hardworking second-hand help?” Hahaha, that felt a bit guilty...
