Tainan’s “Xinhua National Botanical Garden” has specially collaborated with the “Xinhua Community Building Association” this year to hold the “Trees Are Home – Xinhua Forest Season” from February 19 to March 8, featuring a series of activities. During the 228 Holiday, a special three-day limited-time Forest Market will also be launched, inviting the public to experience a journey that combines forests, art, and cultural creativity.

Listed as one of the “Eight Scenic Spots and Ten Attractions” of the “New South Ying Scenic Sites,” Xinhua National Botanical Garden boasts Taiwan’s largest mahogany forest. This year’s event is themed around the concept of “Trees Are Home,” encouraging visitors to get close to nature and relax and play in the forest. Additionally, tickets are specially designed as “bookmarks,” and come with a postcard and a guide map, limited to 10,000 copies.

As the 228 consecutive holidays approach the end of the Xinhua Forest Season activities, a specially planned Forest Market will also be held from February 27 to March 1, gathering Tainan-based cultural and creative stalls, offering visitors a unique and fun shopping experience. Live music, including guzheng and guitar performances, will accompany the event. Visitors can write their wishes and addresses on postcards and drop them into the “Bravery, Tolerance, Creativity, Original Intention” mailbox, where a designated person will help mail the letters.
