China Coal Museum

The China Coal Museum is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Highlights: The China Coal Museum is the only national-level coal industry museum in China. It serves as the national collection center for historical relics, specimens, documents, and materials related to the coal industry. It functions as a popular science education institution, scientific research organization, and publicity and education hub for the coal industry, symbolizing reverence for science and civilization.

The China Coal Museum is divided into eastern and western campuses, covering an area of approximately 11 hectares with a total construction area of about 90,000 square meters. It consists of the exhibition hall, China Coal Science, Education, and Culture Exchange Center, academic lecture hall, office and research building, and the Modern Science and Technology College, among others. The museum's basic permanent exhibition is planned as the "Seven Halls and One Shaft": the Hall of Coal Formation, the Hall of Coal and Humanity, the Hall of Coal Mining Technology, the Hall of Contemporary China’s Coal Industry, the Hall of Coal Art, the Hall of Coal Literature, the Hall of International Exchanges, and the Simulated Coal Mine. Currently, the open sections include the Hall of Coal Formation, the Hall of Coal and Humanity, the Hall of Coal Art, the Hall of Coal Literature, and the Simulated Coal Mine. Additionally, the Ancient Murals Hall and the Coal Mine Safety Education Hall have been newly developed. The museum plays an important role in the cultural and ethical development of China’s coal industry and has forged a unique path in the establishment and growth of national industry museums.
