You Ming Xin Coffee Roasters
You Ming Xin Coffee Roasters can be described as a hidden gem of a café nestled in the mountains. Its design features transparent floor-to-ceiling windows that allow warm sunlight to stream in, making the entire space feel as though it’s breathing — full of transparency and vitality. Though it’s a bit off the beaten path from the city center, taking the time to enjoy a cup of coffee or a leisurely afternoon tea here is still a wonderful and worthwhile experience.

White House Yang Ming Café
The White House is a new brand launched by Onion Steak, renovated from an early U.S. military dependents' housing unit. This newly refurbished bright white café has breathed new life into the space. The interior is spacious and comfortable, free from the crowded feeling of urban restaurants. Aside from light meals, coffee, and tea, the menu also includes steak and pasta options.

Cine Café
Located next to Chinese Culture University, a former U.S. military dormitory has recently embraced an American retro style. Hidden within is Cine Café, a movie-themed café. Inside, the decor, furnishings, and even the tables are all made from materials like old film reels and videotapes, exuding a strong cinematic atmosphere. The café also occasionally screens movies for guests.

VVG Hideaway
VVG Hideaway, located on Jing Shan Road, features a pure white building that complements the lush mountain forest around it. The interior preserves the glass house design of the previous tenant “Secret Garden,” and the color scheme, matching the exterior, uses plenty of white to create a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.

Café No. 19
Stepping into Café No. 19, guests are welcomed by a lush green path. As you walk along, you can admire the verdant mountains and the Jingxi Stream, while in the distance, the bright yellow and all-white European-style buildings come into view. Such a romantic scene attracts many visitors, including couples who come here to take wedding photos. The interior decor is mainly inspired by Europe and America, featuring an array of foreign-style sofas and tables. The outdoor area allows you to fully enjoy the natural scenery.

Yanik Dream Village
Hidden down a lane beside Yangde Boulevard, what first meets the eye is the shaded trees lining the alley — serene and secluded. Formerly a U.S. military dormitory, it exudes the unique charm of 1950s Southern American architecture, giving visitors a feeling of being in a foreign land. At Yanik Dream Village, you can bask in the sun outdoors, have a picnic on wooden boards, or enjoy a variety of pies, desserts, and drinks from Yanik in the indoor café, spending a delightful afternoon.

Le Montmartre Image Café
“Le Montmartre Image Café” has been in business for 17 years. The owner has hand-painted several small wooden cabins in bright colors, and the interior is designed in a French country style, making you feel as if you’re truly in a European village. Notably, this is also a photography studio that provides wedding photo backdrops for couples. As a result, every building here — from its exterior to its décor — is quite distinctive, making it a unique oasis in Yangmingshan.

1942 Hunger Stack Kitchen
It’s hard not to notice 1942 Hunger Stack Kitchen as you pass by. Rather than going for a romantic aesthetic, it adopts a slightly retro American style. The restaurant uses locally sourced ingredients from Yangmingshan to create American brunches and international handmade dishes, allowing diners to immerse themselves in the sunshine and air of Yangmingshan while leisurely enjoying a rich and delicious meal.

Scenic Restaurant
The Top 屋顶上
“The Top屋顶上” is located in the back of Yangmingshan, and its prime location and terraced design offer sweeping views of the Taipei night skyline. With beautiful lighting and a great atmosphere, the restaurant building adopts a European chalet style, offering a warm and cozy vibe. Each area inside features different themes and designs, and the dishes served vary accordingly. There is also an indoor fireplace lounge where you can enjoy hot drinks and desserts. If you don’t make a reservation, you might miss out.

Grass Mountain Night Unsleeping
Grass Mountain Night Unsleeping, located in the hills behind Chinese Culture University, is another highly renowned landscape restaurant. Centered around the legendary big tree, it started with just three tables and roadside vending, but today it draws endless crowds and has become a sentimental spot for countless couples. "Left with a view of Taipei 101, right embracing the moon over Tamkang," aptly describes the stunning scenery here, offering sweeping views of Taipei City from high above with an incredibly expansive vista.

Compared to the previous venues, “ZEST35 Club” is situated slightly lower in elevation, but it boasts a spacious layout with decor, food, and drinks all of a notably high standard. Dining here while enjoying the night view offers a delightful urban experience. The interior is designed like a high-end bar, exuding a premium atmosphere, while the outdoor area provides a laid-back and romantic feel. Under the soft lighting, gaze at the beautiful starry sky and city lights—it’s extremely relaxing.
