Wanbolin Ecological Park

Wanbolin Ecological Park is located in the areas of Honggou, Taoxing, Huangpo, and Niejiashan Ridge in Wanbolin District, covering a total area of 14,220 mu. It is one of the closest forested green spaces to the urban area and has become a popular new destination for leisure and recreation.

Starting in 2006, the Wanbolin District government invested over 100 million yuan over several years to clear coal yards, fill in landfills, reclaim usable land, construct terraced fields and fish-scale pits, and adopt a afforestation model featuring "shrubbery as the main element, trees as accents, diverse species configurations, and block-style mixed planting" to develop a suburban forest park.

To date, over ten scenic forest areas have been established, with more than 290,000 trees planted, including Chinese pine, white pine, peach trees, lilacs, oriental arborvitae, and Chinese scholar trees. Additionally, 10 kilometers of asphalt main roads and 8 kilometers of secondary roads have been paved.
