The Museum of Applied Arts in Frankfurt was established in 1877 and is one of the most important museums of its kind internationally, as well as one of Germany's six leading museums of applied arts. The museum’s latest building is located in the garden of the Metzler Villa in Frankfurt and was designed and built by the famous American architect Richard Meier. Its overall form is white, featuring many large transparent glass windows, giving it a highly modern aesthetic—the building itself is a visually stunning work of art.

The collection of this museum of applied arts spans over 5,000 years of history across various cultures around the world.
